CHP to hold rally in Kadıköy
Following the cancellation of the CHP's Istanbul Provincial Congress and the dismissal of the administration, Gürsel Tekin was appointed as trustee in place of Özgür Çelik.
Tekin arrived at the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters yesterday (September 8) and entered the provincial building accompanied by police . The provincial building, which had been under police siege for two days, was then closed by the CHP, and the new address of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters became the Bahçelievler District Headquarters.
Ekrem İmamoğlu, the Mayor of Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality (IMM) and CHP's presidential candidate, was arrested on corruption charges on March 23.
CHP Chairman Özgür Özel addressed the crowd that gathered in Saraçhane for a week, starting from March 19, the day İmamoğlu was detained.
