BREAKING NEWS: Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir was referred to the courthouse

Lawyer Rezan Epözdemir, who was detained as part of two separate investigations launched by the Istanbul Chief Public Prosecutor's Office, was referred to the courthouse.

Rezan Epözdemir was detained on Sunday.

It was learned that the famous lawyer will give a statement to the prosecutor regarding the accusations against him for not giving a statement to the police.

HIS PASSPORT WAS CONFISCATED, HIS WORKPLACE WAS SEARCHED

As part of the investigation, Epözdemir's passport was also confiscated.

Security forces had searched Rezan Epözdemir's workplace in Levent.

Epözdemir's procedures at the police station have been ongoing since that day.

Epözdemir, the lawyer involved in critical cases that Turkey is discussing, is accused of bribery, political and military espionage, and aiding FETO.

150 THOUSAND DOLLAR BRIBERY ALLEGATION It was learned that a confidentiality order was issued within the scope of the investigation carried out against Epözdemir and that the statement of a witness named AD was taken later. In his statement, witness AD claimed that Epözdemir had received a bribe and pointed out three different actions. The prosecutor's office separated the file in order to obtain an investigation permit because there was a power of attorney relationship in two of these actions.

In the 2021 incident, which did not involve a power of attorney relationship, it was alleged that Epözdemir and C.Ç. received a bribe of $150,000 in exchange for an eviction.
