MILLİYET.COM.TR / The Israeli army carried out an attack on a negotiating team consisting of senior Hamas officials in Doha, the capital of Qatar, on Tuesday.

In the operation, dubbed "Judgment Day," a delegation of prominent Hamas figures such as Khalil al-Hayya, Khaled Meshaal, Zaher Jabbarin, and Musa Abu Marzouk was struck by 10 Israeli Air Force warplanes and drones. The operation, notably conducted 1,800 kilometers from Israel, was also targeted.

'RESPONSIBILITY BELONGS TO ISRAEL'

In a joint statement, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the domestic intelligence agency Shin Bet said, "A targeted operation was carried out targeting Hamas's senior leadership. The cabinet was briefed before the attack," while Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu announced that Israel bears full responsibility for the attacks.

Following the attack, international reactions were swift. Numerous countries, including Turkey , Qatar , the UAE, and Jordan, strongly condemned the attack. Turkey strongly condemned Israel's attack on the Hamas negotiating team in Doha, describing it as a step "aimed at perpetuating war, not peace." The Ministry of Foreign Affairs emphasized its support for Qatar and called on the international community to halt Israel's aggression.
