BREAKING FIRE NEWS: Forest fires in 3 provinces! What's the latest on forest fires?

Efforts are underway to bring the fire, which broke out yesterday afternoon in the Doğanca Neighborhood of Gazipaşa , under control.
The fire, which has spread with the wind, continues to burn in the forested area around the Doğanca, Gürçam, and Çile neighborhoods. As the flames approached, all homes in the Gürçam neighborhood were evacuated as a precaution.
Numerous helicopters and aircraft, which took off in the morning, are supporting the overnight ground response with water trucks and heavy equipment. These aircraft are transporting water from fire pools and the sea to the burned areas.
A large number of water trucks, construction equipment, fire trucks and forestry workers are working in the area to prevent the flames from spreading.
Air and land teams are continuing their efforts to combat the forest fire, which broke out yesterday afternoon in Söğüt Plateau, Alanya. Crews are working to bring the blaze under control.

MYRTLE
The fire that broke out in a forest area in Mersin 's Silifke district is being fought from air and land.
According to reports, a fire broke out in the early morning hours in a forested area located between the Bahçederesi and Çadırlı neighborhoods of the district. Those who witnessed the flames reported the incident to the 112 Emergency Command Center, which dispatched gendarmerie and teams from the Silifke Forest Management Directorate to the area.

Teams of water trucks and forestry workers arrived at the scene under cover of darkness and began fighting. Wind-driven fires, which had spread to the Taşucu neighborhood, were covered in smoke. Air support arrived at sunrise. Firefighting helicopters began working to bring the flames under control.
It was reported that some houses in the Çadırlı Neighborhood were saved from the fire without any damage thanks to the early intervention of forest workers from Arazözlü, following the warning of gendarmerie teams.

It was stated that efforts to control the fire in the region are continuing intensively from air and land.
MUGLA
A fire that broke out in agricultural land in Muğla's Ortaca district spread to the forest due to wind. Crews dispatched to the area are fighting the blaze from the air and land.
A fire broke out around 7:30 a.m. on agricultural land in the Sarıgerme neighborhood. Driven by strong winds, the flames spread to the forest. Numerous teams were dispatched to the area after residents reported the rising flames. Air and ground firefighting efforts are ongoing.
MINISTER YUMAKLI: FIRES IN SIX PROVINCES UNDER CONTROL
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı said in a statement, "Seven fires in six of our provinces have been brought under control, and cooling efforts are continuing."
Minister of Agriculture and Forestry İbrahim Yumaklı made the following statement:
The fires in Antalya Muratpaşa Güzelova, Antalya Alanya Söğüt, Uşak Sivaslı, Adana Kozan, Denizli Acıpayam, Manisa Akhisar and the Kışla neighborhood of Karabük Ovacık district, which we said were continuing after our last statement, meaning 7 fires in our 6 provinces, have been completely taken under control.
"THERE ARE 3 ACTIVE FIRES RIGHT NOW"
All our institutions involved in the forest fires have been working tirelessly to combat them. They will continue with the same dedication. There are ongoing fires. I want to provide information about them as well. Our efforts in the Safranbolu district of Karabük continued throughout the night. The terrain is rugged. Work continued throughout the night to ensure heavy equipment could reach the area. Dense fog prevented airborne intervention in the morning. We will continue our efforts. Two aircraft and 23 helicopters will continue the response today.
I want to talk about the fire in Antalya Gazipaşa. Ground firefighting continued throughout the night, and airstrikes began at first light. Two aircraft and 11 helicopters have been deployed. Ground firefighting is also ongoing.
"THREATENING SETTLEMENTS IS NOT THE ISSUE"
Unfortunately, another forest fire broke out in the Silifke district of Mersin at 1:50 a.m. The fire actually started outside the forest and spread into it. The fires in both Gazipaşa and Silifke are of particular importance to us because these regions are experiencing very strong winds. Meteorological data indicates that strong winds will continue throughout the day.
We are currently talking about three active fires, including the Karabük Safranbolu, Antalya Gazipaşa, and Mersin Silifke fires. There is no threat to residential areas.
"NORTH AEGEAN AND SOUTH MARMARA POSE A GREAT RISK"
In yesterday's statement, I shared that an all-time temperature record had been broken for our country. We stated that temperatures would rise further today and tomorrow. We anticipate a meteorological event lasting well beyond the 28th, with intense heat, drought, and winds expected to last until the first week of August. The most challenging factor for us are fires that start outside forest areas and spread into the forest. The North Aegean and South Marmara regions pose a particularly high risk today. Our colleagues are on high alert. Of course, we must remain vigilant in all our regions.
I implore all our citizens to be vigilant in avoiding any activity that could cause fires in our 81 provinces. I ask for this vigilance for our green homeland and for all our brothers and sisters fighting here. I hope we can focus solely on these three fires and, God willing, deliver positive news about them before we hear of any more.
