All the colors of dance came together in Menteşe

The World Dance Day event, jointly organized by Menteşe Municipality and Muğla Metropolitan Municipality, with the participation of Muğla Sıtkı Koçman University and Muğla Ballet and Dance School, was held in front of the Menteşe Municipality Children's Science Park with intense participation.

The event featured dancers from different age groups performing in many different dance genres, including salsa, bachata, hip-hop, ballet, street dance, folk dance, Latin dance, waltz and jive. The audience enthusiastically accompanied the dance performances, keeping the tempo and sharing the dancers' energy.

Menteşe Mayor Gonca Köksal Aras, drawing attention to the fact that dance is a universal form of expression, said: “This special day reminded us once again that dance is a universal form of art. Dance creates a bridge from heart to heart without the need for words. It expresses itself with rhythm, harmony, sometimes with rebellion, sometimes with love. There is a hidden meaning in every step, a hidden feeling in every turn. I hope that the unifying power of dance will contribute to peace, tolerance and love in the world. Let us not forget that a dancing body is a free spirit.”
