A tired stork is under protection in Manisa

A tired stork was taken into protection in Manisa.

Hakan Karakuyu, who runs a kiosk on Elmadağ Street in the Alaşehir district, noticed that the stork that came in front of his shop was in a weak state.

Thereupon, Karakuyu caught the stork and took it to the veterinarian.

Veterinarian Taner Çelik examined the stork and found no injuries or fractures. The animal was fed with serum.

After treatment, the stork was handed over to the General Directorate of Nature Conservation and National Parks.

Karakuyu stated that they wanted to adopt the stork, saying, "However, the veterinarian said the district wasn't suitable for caring for the stork in both summer and winter. He said it would be better for it to live in the wild."
