A C130 military cargo plane belonging to the Ministry of National Defense crashed in Georgia.

No information has yet been shared on how many people are in the crew.
AKP Chairman and President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan said, "We learned this with deep sorrow. May God have mercy on our martyrs."
Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev also called Erdoğan and offered his condolences. Aliyev said, "We are deeply saddened by the loss of soldiers on the Turkish Armed Forces military cargo plane."
Presidential Communications Director Burhanettin Duran, in a statement on his X account, emphasized that search and rescue efforts have been launched, saying, "In order to inform the public accurately, it is important to only consider the statements of our official institutions and not share unconfirmed information."

Produced by the US defense company Lockheed Martin, the C130 entered the Turkish Air Force inventory in 1964.
