188 workers were poisoned by chicken in Samsun

188 workers in 11 factories in the Samsun Organized Industrial Zone were poisoned by chicken food sent by a food company. It was learned that the workers who were taken to hospital are in good condition.

The incident took place in the Organized Industrial Zone in Tekkeköy district. The chicken meal, allegedly cooked by a catering company, was served to workers working in 11 factories.

After a while, 188 people complained of vomiting, fever, nausea and dizziness and went to the hospital on their own. It was learned that the workers who were taken into treatment on suspicion of poisoning were in good condition.

The food company's manager, cook and food engineer were taken to the police station to give their statements. Provincial Directorate of Agriculture officials also took food samples from the workplace to examine.
