The regulator has updated the Procedure for the provision of medical care in neonatology

In addition, the regulator prescribed that there should be one nurse per 20 beds for conducting newborn audiological screening. Previously, such a specialist was assigned at a rate of 4.75 per 80 beds. A standard of 4.75 (instead of two) was also established for nurses who ensure the round-the-clock operation of the milk room if the medical organization does not have a single milk block. In the previously valid version of the procedure, such a block is not mentioned.
According to the order, the workload of junior nurses will increase. Previously, the standard for them was 4.75 per 15 beds, and now it is 4.75 per 60 beds.
In the document, the regulator specified that the position of head of the neonatal department can only be occupied by a specialized specialist - a neonatologist. The order also recommends providing, among other premises, a room for rest for medical personnel.
The Ministry of Health also approved the rules for organizing the activities of a centralized milk block. According to the regulations, such a block will become a structural division of a medical organization. It is necessary to provide premises for receiving and disinfecting dishes, sterilizing them, preparing and storing milk formula. The purpose of the milk block, which will operate around the clock, is to provide nutrition to newborns and premature babies.
The block must have one manager - a nurse (nurse) or a senior nurse (senior nurse), as well as nurses (at the rate of 9.5 per block) and two orderlies.
In early September 2024, the Ministry of Health presented a draft order concerning the standard of primary health care during normal pregnancy. Among other things, the regulator proposed introducing mandatory one-time visits to medical psychologists for pregnant women.
