The two most stable federal districts for real estate sales have been named

According to the results of the first quarter of 2025, six out of eight federal districts saw a decline in residential real estate sales. The exceptions were the Far Eastern and Central Federal Districts. The leader among the regions is the Moscow Region.

- According to the analytics service "Prodom", in January 2025, 1.47 million square meters of housing were sold across the country, in February - 1.9 million, in March - 1.8 million, - says Vice President of Marketing Vladimir Kravchenko. This is 6% less than in the first three months of 2024 (112.5 thousand equity participation agreements versus 120.2 thousand).

In the Central Federal District, the increase compared to the first quarter of last year was 14%. Sales grew largely due to Moscow, and especially the Moscow Region - 16% and 28% respectively. The leadership of the latter region is explained by high prices in the Russian capital. Buyers moved to the near and middle Moscow region, where prices for apartments of the same level as in Moscow are sold 1.2-1.8 times cheaper.

The growth of sales in the Far Eastern Federal District, compared to the same period last year, was 17%. Here, Far Eastern and Arctic mortgages provide significant support to demand.

As reported by the Ministry of Architecture of Primorsky Krai, 1,469 mortgage loans were issued in Primorsky Krai alone in the first three months of 2025. Far Eastern mortgages account for 56% of all transactions, and the program remains the most popular in the region.

Earlier, Russian President Vladimir Putin confirmed the situation regarding the presence of risks. According to him, more than two thousand projects with six-month postponements have already been recorded across the country.
