The American president also said that the United States is very close to new trade agreements
US President Donald Trump announced the achievement of a trade agreement with Great Britain, RIA Novosti reports. According to the head of state, under this deal the US will receive $6 billion in revenue from import duties of 10%, as well as $5 billion in new opportunities for American exporters.
In turn, British Prime Minister Keir Starmer said that the US would reduce duties on British auto products from 27.5% to 10%. His speech was broadcast by Sky News, TASS reports. According to Starmer, the trade agreement concluded by the parties provides for a quota of 100 thousand British cars per year, on which ten percent duties will be levied.
He also added that "UK farmers will have unprecedented access to the [US] market without compromising their high standards."
Donald Trump also expressed confidence on Thursday that Washington was very close to reaching new trade agreements after reaching its first deal with Britain.
