Pension payments in the summer of 2025 will be increased in stages for different categories of recipients, Dean of the Faculty of Law at the National Research University Higher School of Economics, Professor Vadim Vinogradov told the Prime agency.
In particular, pensioners who reached 80 years of age in May will receive the right to a double fixed payment to their insurance pension in June, amounting to 8,907 rubles 70 kopecks per month. If such a pensioner is officially cared for, another 1,314 rubles will be added to this amount.
A similar increase awaits citizens who were assigned the first disability group in May. Vinogradov noted that the additional payment is assigned only on one basis - either upon reaching 80 years of age or upon receiving a disability.
From August 1, pensions will be recalculated for working pensioners taking into account pension points earned in 2024, as well as for miners and civil aviation employees who are eligible for recalculation and who submitted an application from April 1 to June 30. Most recalculations will be performed automatically, the expert concluded.
