Russian woman dies due to poor treatment at private clinic

In Yekaterinburg, they are investigating the circumstances of the death of a local resident who, according to preliminary data, died due to poor quality medical care in one of the city’s private clinics, writes MK in Yekaterinburg, citing the press service of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation.

A criminal case was opened under Article 109 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (“Causing death by negligence”).

According to the regional Investigative Committee, the patient suffered from serious illnesses. Details of her treatment and the causes of death are being clarified.

The tragedy occurred in March 2025, after which an investigation was launched. The head of the Investigative Committee of the Russian Federation, Alexander Bastrykin, took the case under personal control. The head of the department instructed the head of the Sverdlovsk Investigative Department, Bogdan Frantishko, to provide a report on the progress of the procedural investigation and the violations identified.

The investigation is ongoing, and based on its results, a legal assessment will be given of the actions of the clinic’s medical staff.
