Novgorod Rowing School Reminds Moscow and Tver of Its Places of Origin

Novgorod athlete Arina Mikhailova won 2 medals at the All-Russian "Victory Cup" in academic rowing, which was held in Moscow. The pupil of the "Olimp" sports school became the silver medalist among women's singles in lightweight. Then she won as part of the lightweight quadruple crew together with her teammates from Moscow and Kaliningrad.

The athlete is trained by Lyudmila Orlova.

Other students of the Olimp Sports School showed worthy results at the All-Russian rowing competitions “57th Regatta in Memory of Tver Merchant Afanasy Nikitin”.

Among juniors under 23, the winners were Vladislav Makarov and Nikita Ivanovsky in the double sculls races. In the same class, the guys took 2nd place among athletes under 19. Also in the younger age group, our women's double sculls team Ksenia Ivanova and Erika Biserova finished in 3rd place. These same girls, together with Alexandra Dobryantseva and Polina Nesterova, won bronze in the quadruple sculls races.

The athletes are trained by the coaching team: Nikita Karpov, Svetlana Yakunina, Alexandra Yakunina and Anastasia Yakunina.
