In Priozersk district, the circumstances of the death of a 6-year-old boy are being investigated

The employees of the Investigative Department for the city of Priozersk of the Investigative Committee of Russia for the Leningrad Region are establishing the causes of the tragic death of a 6-year-old child. This was reported by the press service of the department.
It is known that on May 10 in the village of Melnikovo, a child, being near the Vuoksa River, climbed onto a large rock, slipped, fell and hit his face on the rock, after which he fell into the water. The boy's friends called for help, and passers-by pulled him out of the river. An ambulance was immediately called, but the doctors who arrived at the scene were unable to save the boy.
The preliminary cause of death is drowning. After the necessary measures have been taken, a legal assessment of the incident will be given.
The Investigative Department employees call on citizens to observe safety measures when relaxing on bodies of water and remind parents of the need to constantly supervise their children in order to avoid tragedies caused by oversight.
Earlier, MK v Leningradoblasti reported that a similar accident occurred in the Vyborg district. There, due to the negligence of the parents, a two-year-old child drowned in a pond.
