The X Miles of the Guadiana reconnects Portugal and Spain.

The 30th edition of the 10 Miles of the Guadiana once again took place last Sunday, November 9th, bringing together the municipalities of Castro Marim, Vila Real de Santo António, and Ayamonte in an event that for three decades has symbolized cross-border cooperation through sport .
The competition began in Ayamonte, Spain, crossing the Guadiana International Bridge towards Castro Marim, where the athletes ran through the streets of the village and the unique landscapes of the Sapal Nature Reserve. The finish line was set up in Praça Marquês de Pombal, in Vila Real de Santo António, where the awards ceremony took place.

According to a post on the social media of the Castro Marim City Council , with a route of more than 18 kilometers, the X Miles of the Guadiana continue to establish themselves as a symbol of friendship and unity between the two countries, simultaneously promoting sport, culture and tourism in the Eurocity of Guadiana.
Held annually since 1992, the event is organized by the municipalities of Castro Marim, Ayamonte and Vila Real de Santo António, in collaboration with the Pic-Nic Sports Association and the Ayamonte Athletics Club.
