Isaac Nader from Algarve becomes world champion in the 1500 meters

Isaac Nader won the gold medal in the 1500 meters at Tokyo 2025. The athlete from Faro won Portugal's 24th medal at the World Athletics Championships.
The athlete from Algarve completed the race in 3:34.10 minutes, winning Portugal's first medal in this edition and becoming world champion in the 1500 meters in athletics, followed by the British Jake Wightman, second, with 3:34.12, and the Kenyan Reynold Cheruiyot, third, with 3:34.25.
It is Isaac Nader's second medal at international championships, after winning bronze in the 1500 meters at the European Indoor Championships.
