Benfica and Sporting agreed to pay the bill

The Benfica vs Sporting match, which takes place this Saturday, is a real totobola for the PSP, as it has to come up with three possible scenarios to guarantee security in the country. The three scenarios on the table involve the victory of one of the clubs that could decide the champion, and the third scenario is that everything is postponed until the 17th. What is certain is that the security plan will be put in place at a national level, since if the championship is decided it is natural that the fans of the winning team will take to the streets to celebrate, regardless of the city or town they are in.
But while the PSP has met with the clubs, as well as with Lisbon City Council, the local authority has also reached an understanding with Benfica and Sporting: the stage that will be installed at Marquês de Pombal will be the same whether one or the other team wins, only the 'decoration' will be changed. And it is the winner who will be left with the bill to pay. What is certain is that traffic will be cut off and there will be 'controls' and searches on the roads leading to Marquês de Pombal.
All policing will be determined by the information that the metropolitan sports information unit service, known as spotters, manages to compile from high-risk fans of both teams.
The restrictions on Saturday are expected to begin at around 3:30 pm. The Campo Grande tunnel, in the Campo Grande – Saldanha direction, will be closed to traffic, but there will be other road closures: Entrecampos/Marquês de Pombal axis (which includes the closure at the Entrecampos roundabout, Avenida da República, Praça Duque de Saldanha and Avenida Fontes Pereira de Melo); Praça de Espanha/Marquês de Pombal axis (Praça de Espanha and Avenida António Augusto Aguiar); Amoreiras/Marquês de Pombal axis (Avenida Engenheiro Duarte Pacheco, which includes the closure and isolation of the Marquês tunnel and Rua Joaquim António de Aguiar)
