This Sunday (27), Bahia went to Allianz Parque to face Palmeiras and, in a great match, left with three points in the Brazilian Championship. With a goal from Kayky in the final stretch, Esquadrão now occupies eighth place in the table. This triumph marked the Tricolor de Aço's first victory over Alviverde at home.

In a balanced and intense game, the two teams played a high-quality duel, with chances for both sides. Palmeiras was on a winning streak and, if they could secure the three points, they would take the lead in the competition. Despite putting more pressure on the opponent in the second half and creating several opportunities, they were lacking in finishing, while Bahia knew how to defend themselves and take advantage of the opportunity to thwart their opponent's plans.

The Tricolor de Aço played a consistent and very strong match — something that had not been seen in the Brazilian Championship for a long time —, adopting a defensive strategy and betting on counterattacks. In the final stretch of the second half, when everything seemed headed for a draw, Kayky, after a great combination with Cauly, found the way to the goal and secured the victory.

Thus, Bahia achieved its first victory over Palmeiras away from home, at Allianz Parque. Before this game, the teams had faced each other six times at the stadium, with five defeats and one draw for Tricolor. Kayky became only the fifth player in the club's history to score on Palmeiras' pitch.

After the triumph, Kayky commented:

"There are a lot of games in the season, it's difficult, and what makes it easy is the squad. With a full squad, you can change a lot, rotate, whoever comes in decides. So it was important for us to get these three points."

Bahia's next match will be in the Copa do Brasil, on Wednesday (30), against Paysandu.
