Local elections: Emanuel Sancho on the list of the AD of São Brás de Alportel

Led by Bruno Sousa Costa and supported by the PSD , the list for the Municipal Council of São Brás de Alportel for the 2025 municipal elections, presents «a strong, diverse, experienced team, deeply connected to the reality of the municipality, united by a common project: to build a São Brás de Alportel closer to the people, more competent in management, more balanced in development and more aware of its identity».
The first six names now announced "well reflect the spirit of this candidacy: diversity of backgrounds, complementary skills, commitment to the public cause and a genuine desire to serve," the coalition reveals in a note sent to newsrooms.
This candidacy "is not limited to presenting a list for the City Council. It is a truly joint municipal project," integrating the lists for the City Council, the Municipal Assembly, and the Parish Council, led by Ivo Tomé and Gonçalo Mesquita, respectively.
"We believe that only with coordinated leadership across these three pillars can we ensure effective, close, and transparent management. The Municipal Assembly is essential for approving budgets, plans, and major strategic decisions for the municipality—without an executive and an assembly in sync, the municipality loses decision-making power. Likewise, the Parish Council plays an irreplaceable role in directly responding to the population, especially with the increasing delegation of powers. A Council with greater resources, more autonomy, and closer ties to the City Council allows for faster resolution of the community's day-to-day problems," the statement reads.
Therefore, "we present a collective, plural and representative project, prepared to ensure stable, responsible governance focused on the true needs" of São Brás de Alportel.
