How each deputy voted on the urgency for amnesty

The Chamber of Deputies approved, on Wednesday the 17th, the urgency of a bill granting amnesty to those convicted of coup plots. The vote was expedited by the Speaker of the House, Hugo Motta (Republicans-PB), and took place amid protests from lawmakers opposed to the measure.
The proposal became the opposition's main rallying cry because of its potential to benefit former President Jair Bolsonaro (PL), sentenced to 27 years and three months in prison for leading the criminal organization that attempted a coup. Motta announced the vote minutes after the Chamber's Executive Board called an extraordinary session for 8:30 p.m.
There were 311 votes in favor, 163 against and 7 abstentions.

With Bolsonaro's conviction by the Supreme Federal Court last week, pressure from Bolsonaro supporters to put the issue on the agenda increased. Furthermore, the Centrão (Brazilian Center) and São Paulo Governor Tarcísio de Freitas began lobbying for the proposal's approval , hoping the former president would endorse the São Paulo state executive's presidential candidacy .
