Jorge Mário da Silva , known as Seu Jorge, was born in Belford Roxo, Rio de Janeiro, and had a childhood marked by hardships and hard work from an early age. He worked as a tire repairman, carpenter and even a potato peeler before becoming famous on stage. Dudu Nobre, born in Rio in 1973, began his musical career at the age of five on the classical piano and has not stopped playing the cavaquinho since he was nine.
