Wind causes trees to fall. Eight cars damaged

Several trees fell in the early hours of this Monday in Carcavelos, in the municipality of Cascais, due to strong gusts of wind — at least eight cars were damaged. The Volunteer Firefighters of Carcavelos and São Domingos de Rana revealed to Observador that there were no injuries.

According to the same corporation, three occurrences of falling trees were recorded during the night from Sunday to Monday, and only in one of the cases, in the Quinta do Barão area, did the trees cause damage to cars that were parked on the public road.

In the other two incidents, the trees fell and occupied the public road, but have already been removed by the authorities.
