Remax with 1.97 billion euros of price volume in the first quarter

In the first three months of the year, Remax recorded a price volume of 1.97 billion euros in the first quarter. When compared to the same period in 2024, the value represented an increase of 35.7%, corresponding to around 19 thousand transactions (+20%).
Regarding the number of transactions negotiated by district in this first quarter, Lisbon continues to lead the top 10 with 33.5%. This is followed by the districts of Porto (13.5%), Setúbal (10.5%), Braga (7.3%), Coimbra (4.9%), Aveiro (4.5%), Faro and Santarém (4.3% each), Leiria (3.9%) and Viseu (2.7%). In total, the 10 national districts represent 89.4% of the properties transacted by the network in this period.
In a statement, the real estate agency states that “the district of Lisbon has lost weight in the national context, and in the first three months of 2025, the district of Setúbal was the one that registered the greatest increase, exceeding 10% of transactions nationwide for the first time”.
In terms of nationalities, the Portuguese accounted for 79% of purchases, followed by Brazilians (6.2%), North Americans (1.8%) and Angolans (1.6%). According to the note, “Brazilian nationality lost weight after several consecutive years of growth. North Americans, on the other hand, strengthened their position as the second foreign nationality with the greatest weight in the number of transactions, albeit slightly.”
In the first quarter of 2025, apartments and houses were the two most traded types of property, representing 51% and 23.6% of the total. Here, 2-bedroom apartments represented 21% of transactions, 3-bedroom apartments around 16.3%, 3-bedroom houses around 9.3% and 1-bedroom apartments had a weight of 9.1% and 2-bedroom houses accounted for 6.1% of the real estate agency's transactions.
Quoted in the statement, the CEO of Remax says “the results achieved in the first three months of the year demonstrate the excellence of our network and reveal the strength and robustness of the RE/MAX brand, which has maintained the highest levels of customer satisfaction, as well as demonstrating great dynamics in the national market.
According to Beatriz Rubio, “in addition to the growth in the various indicators of the sector, by being responsible for almost 19 thousand transactions in just three months, in a market where there is a substantial lack of housing supply, RE/MAX has once again demonstrated its undisputed leadership in the sector”.
