INSS begins paying August benefits this Monday; see calendar

INSS retirees and pensioners will begin receiving payments for the month of July starting this Monday, the 25th. The entity organizes payments in batches, according to the final benefit number and monthly income.

Beneficiaries earning up to the minimum wage and with a final digit between 1 and 5 will receive payments in the last 5 business days of August . Those earning a final digit between 6 and 9, and those earning a final digit between 0, will receive payments, along with those earning benefits above the minimum wage, in the first 5 business days of September.

To find the final benefit amount, ignore the last digit of the check digit. For example, if the benefit ends in 123-4, the benefit will end in 3. Citizens can see the final benefit amount on their award letter, payment statement, or by calling 135, which is available Monday through Saturday, from 7 a.m. to 10 p.m.
