How to Help Venezuelan Earthquake Victims Right Now

On Wednesday, Venezuela was hit by two successive earthquakes with magnitudes of 7.2 and 7.5. The first struck near the capital, Caracas; the second struck near the coastal town of Morón. Nearly 1,000 people have died, with more than 3,000 reported injuries, and the search for 50,000 missing people under collapsed buildings is underway, per the president of the country’s National Assembly, Jorge Rodríguez.
These are just the initial damage. The U.N.’s International Organization for Migration estimates that nearly 7 million people could be impacted, and the entire country will be mobilizing to recover for some time.
