More than 20% of commercial operations in Santos Populares were carried out by foreigners

On the nights of the Popular Saints, operations carried out by foreigners represented 21% of the total purchases and withdrawals made, according to data shared by SIBS Analytics, which reveals that this number represents a growth of 12% compared to the same period last year.

Operations and payments with MB WAY also saw “significant growth” of more than 31% and an average ticket of 20 euros.

The accounts also reveal that, overall, and compared to the daily average of operations in June, on the nights of Santo António, São João and São Pedro, 18% more transactions were recorded, with the average ticket value being 27 euros.

It was on the night of June 28 to 29, when Saint Peter's Day is celebrated, that the greatest growth in the number of transactions was seen (+46% compared to the June average), reaching an average value per purchase of 30 euros.
