Trouble at a well-known airport. Passengers must be careful not to miss their flight.

Liverpool John Lennon Airport is warning passengers of significant disruptions in August, particularly those traveling on weekends. This is due to roadworks on the A561 and A562, known as Speke Boulevard and Speke Road, which are key access routes to the terminal. These works could cause delays to the airport, which in the worst-case scenario could result in missed flights.
Important information for passengers departing from a UK airportAugust is a peak flight season across Europe. Many tourists decide to travel right before the end of their vacation, which can cause congestion at airports, for example during security checks. Unfortunately, these are not the only obstacles passengers must prepare for.
Liverpool John Lennon Airport has issued an official advisory to travelers, warning them of ongoing roadworks leading to the terminal. These include roadworks on the A561 and A562 (Speke Boulevard and Speke Road), which will be carried out in stages every weekend in August. During this time, tourists heading to the airport will have to take detours, which could cause significant delays. Leaving home too late could result in stress at the airport, and in the worst-case scenario, even missing your flight.
Details about the renovationAccording to the Polonia Birmingham website, the first closure will take place from 10:00 PM on Friday, August 8th, and will last until 11:00 PM on Sunday, August 10th. The second closure is planned for the weekend of Saturday, August 16th, from 4:00 AM to Monday, August 18th, also at 4:00 AM. However, this is all subject to change depending on weather conditions.
The detour is over 20 kilometers long. Roads undergoing repairs will be closed to traffic, but navigation providers may not reflect these changes in their systems.
