This attraction is a hit in Zakopane. Tourists queue for up to six hours.

The Kasprowy Wierch cable car is one of the most popular attractions in southern Poland. Despite tickets starting at PLN 99 for adults (for both rides), it's incredibly popular.

The Polish Army checked to see if the situation was similar this summer. On Tuesday afternoon, a queue of people eager to climb the Tatra peak had formed since early morning, and around 12:00, it became truly crowded. "If you get to the back of the queue now, you have to wait three hours," the security guard noted. "But some days the queue is twice as long, and people wait for up to six hours," he added.

On Tuesday, August 5, the online system was out of tickets for the afternoon downhill journey.

It's worth noting that there's a separate entrance for those who purchase tickets online, which shortens the wait. Furthermore, afternoon tickets are discounted, allowing you to admire "the highest sunset in Poland." Early birds will save the most. This Saturday, at 7:10 and 7:20 a.m., regular round-trip tickets cost 99 PLN. If you purchase round-trip tickets, you can spend an hour and 40 minutes at the top.

The Kasprowy Wierch cable car runs every 10 minutes, or every half hour in bad weather and low traffic. The ride takes approximately 20 minutes and involves one transfer at Myślenickie Turnie. The second section of the route is steeper, with the cable car's greatest elevation above the ground being 180 meters.

Failure to arrive at the platform at the time indicated on your ticket will result in you being unable to use the cable car service. In this case, you can travel by purchasing a seat reservation at the cable car ticket office for PLN 45, provided the cable car capacity allows for travel.
