The most important match in the history of the country! They even offer... reindeer meat for tickets

The first match a week ago in London was won by Tottenham 3-1, but in Bodoe no one doubts that the Norwegian team will make up for the loss, win the two-legged tie and play in the LE final. "The city is literally boiling with emotions ahead of this most important club match in the country's history," the media described.

The Aspmyra Stadium in Bodoe has a capacity of just 8,200, but after tickets were sold to priority season ticket holders and the quota reserved by UEFA for officials, sponsors, media and English fans was subtracted, only 480 tickets remained for general sale, with more than 50,000 Norwegians queuing up to get in.

In Norway, selling tickets for profit is illegal and they can only be sold for face value or, as the Norwegians do, barter. Advertisements have appeared offering cod or reindeer meat for a ticket. "I offered five kilograms of dried cod, worth 200 euros at market value, and almost immediately I got a response and the ticket I wanted," Torbjoern Eide said in a report by NRK from Bodoe.

Nils Erik Osheim, in turn, offered five kilograms of reindeer tenderloin and also secured a ticket. "I was number 40,000 in the ticket queue, so the chances were practically zero, and the merchant immediately agreed to the deli meat, which is very expensive in the store," he said.

— Such transactions are legal because both parties establish the value of their products for exchange, while reselling the ticket for profit falls under the black market section and is prohibited, so as you can see, the Norwegians are very creative — explained Nora Wenneberg Gloersen, a lawyer at the Office of Consumer Rights.

Huge interest in the Bodo/Glimt — Tottenham match

Not only are there no tickets for the match, but also for the planes that thousands of fans from all over the country fly to Bodoe to experience the atmosphere on site in pubs and fan zones with big screens. There are also no rooms in hotels, and private accommodation costs several hundred euros.

According to local media, licenses to broadcast the match were purchased not only by pubs and restaurants, but also by almost all community centers and premises of various associations in the city.
