Szymon Marciniak brutally attacked. It's unbelievable!

Szymon Marciniak brutally attacked. It's unbelievable!

The referee from Płock has been given difficult or very difficult matches to referee in recent years – with the highest stakes. It was similar on Tuesday evening, when Marciniak was the referee for the second leg of the Champions League semi-final. Inter competed with FC Barcelona.

We wrote about the situations, especially the controversial ones, in a separate text after the emotional clash in Milan. Ultimately, after a 3-3 draw in regular time, the hosts struck the decisive blow in extra time and Inter will play for the main trophy.

Zbigniew Boniek stood up for Szymon Marciniak. Important words

The emotions surrounding Szymon Marciniak have not subsided. The Pole has become the victim of a brutal attack by Internet users. Just look at social media. Observing the activity on the Pole's Instagram account, for example, it is no surprise that the decision was made to block the possibility of adding comments to the latest posts, completely unrelated to the Inter-Barcelona match.

As you can see, however, haters have no intention of letting up and are posting hundreds of vulgar posts below any criticism in more and more places, wherever they can. The scale of this procedure is shocking.

– I think Marciniak didn't make a mistake. After all, he blew a penalty, which, in my opinion, was deserved, and the fact that the foul started 10 cm from the penalty area is also a fact. VAR told him that there shouldn't have been a penalty, because the foul started before the penalty, so it's not Marciniak's mistake, but VAR's. However, I don't understand the Barcelona players' complaints about the goal for 3:3. At that time, there was a completely accidental contact between the players, the Barcelona player fell, and the referee didn't react, and rightly so, because there was no foul – admitted Zbigniew Boniek, former vice-president of UEFA and head of the Polish Football Association, in an interview for Polsat Sport.

In the Champions League final, Inter will play Paris Saint-Germain. The Parisians beat Arsenal 3-1 in the return semi-final. In London, the French champions won 1-0. Therefore, the defender of the Gunners and the Polish national team, Jakub Kiwior, said goodbye to the chance to win the Champions League.

It is worth adding that Inter have two Poles in their colours. They are midfielders, Piotr Zieliński (who appeared on the pitch during the return match with Barcelona) and Nicola Zalewski.

The 2024/25 Champions League final will be held in Munich, at the Allianz Arena. The Inter-Paris Saint-Germain match is scheduled for Saturday, May 31.
