Peugeot unexpectedly returns to offering diesel engines

The E-308 model, with its 58.4 kWh battery and 156 hp, has undergone the most significant changes. It now offers up to 450 km of range (WLTP), which is 34 km more than before, and fast charging from 20 to 80 percent takes about 32 minutes. Thanks to V2L technology, the car can power, for example, an electric bicycle or a touring lamp. Also on offer are a 195 hp plug-in hybrid with a range of up to 85 km (+20 km compared to its predecessor), a 48V mild hybrid with 145 hp, and from spring 2026, a 1.5-liter diesel engine with 130 hp.

Peugeot is also focusing on comfort, with AGR-certified ergonomic seats, an optional massage function, a Focal audio system, and heated seats available on higher trim levels. A new addition to the multimedia range is the i-Connect Advanced package with TomTom navigation and ChatGPT integration. Software updates will be delivered over-the-air. The Peugeot 308 is built in Mulhouse (Alsace), with design work carried out in a center near Paris. Orders for the hatchback and station wagon will be available from autumn 2025. Customers will be able to choose from five trim levels: Style, Allure, GT, Business, and GT Exclusive.
