Legia Warsaw is in crisis. Who will help the team from Łazienkowska?
The name-calling began even before Iordanescu lost his job. The media is circulating about more or less likely candidates. As usual in such situations, the names of Jacek Magiera and Aleksandar Vuković, who know the club intimately and could probably quickly fix what the Romanian has ruined, are also coming back like a boomerang.
The former watched Sunday's match at Łazienkowska Street in the company of Michał Żewłakow, Fredi Bobić, and Dariusz Mioduski. Such a picture raises speculation, but it's important to remember that Magiera is an assistant to coach Jan Urban and is simply scouting players who could make the national team.
Magiera coached Legia during their Champions League campaign (2016/2017), defeating Sporting Lisbon and drawing with Real Madrid, among others. He also previously served as an assistant and interim coach. He was always willing to lend a helping hand, as was another former player, Vuković.

The Serb left Legia for the second time in 2022. He spent the last three years at Piast Gliwice. His name was mentioned in the context of a return to Łazienkowska Street in the summer. However, the club opted for Iordanescu, a decision that still lingers with him to this day.
