After years of right-wing threats to Poles about a common currency, no major political party is advocating for euro adoption. The president promised , in his inaugural address to the National Assembly, to bravely defend Poles against something that doesn't exist. Indeed, in 2008, Donald Tusk announced plans to adopt a common currency at a forum in Krynica, but a month later, the global financial crisis invalidated this announcement.
