Independent study: 15 of 16 people killed in Gaza since March are civilians
The independent violence tracking organization ACLED (Armed Conflict Location and Event Data) has indicated that 15 of the 16 people killed by Israeli forces in Gaza since the start of the renewed offensive in March, one of the highest civilian death rates since the beginning of the conflict.
Researchers from ACLED, which is supported by Western governments and the UN, tracked reports of losses suffered by Hamas and allied armed groups in the Gaza Strip from the Israeli military, credible local and international media, Hamas statements and other sources over a six-month period.
