These are the most beautiful ballet flats for fall 2025. Dior pays tribute to the art of dance

Christian Dior, one of the most important designers in fashion history, was not only a great lover of plants, but also passionate about dance. The dancers' silhouettes, captured in motion, perfectly conveyed emotion, which captivated the designer. In his new fall/winter collection, Dior returns to the timeless ballet aesthetic, paying homage to the master of haute couture.
Dior's fall/winter ready-to-wear collection features a unique gem, nodding to the classic works of master Christian Dior. These new ballet flats combine the grace of a ballerina with everyday comfort. The almond-shaped toe and distinctive V-shaped upper evoke the lines of a body in motion.
The French fashion house offers them in a variety of styles, including patent leather ballet flats in black and off-white, velvet, and quilted leather. Each pair is adorned with a silver Tribales button featuring the initials "CD," a subtle reminder of the brand's heritage. Prices for the ballet flats start at 3,500 PLN.

The Dior New Ballet ballet flats perfectly complemented the fall/winter collection's concept, which transformed the traditional fashion show into an artistic spectacle. For her latest Dior collection, Maria Grazia Chiuri collaborated with Robert Wilson (an American director, performer, and visual artist known for his experimental approach to theater and lighting) to further capture the theatrical dimension of her designs. In this context , the New Ballet ballet flats are not just an accessory, but serve as a cohesive visual and symbolic element. Their form was inspired by dance, but presented in a modern way to emphasize the fluidity of movement and add a theatrical touch to each step.

This isn't the first time Maria Grazia Chiuri has embraced a dance aesthetic. In her spring/summer 2019 collection, her designs referenced dancers such as Isadora Duncan, Martha Graham, and Pina Bush. Inspired by contemporary ballet, the designs, while minimalist in form, appeared to be in motion. Chiuri has repeatedly emphasized her love of theatrical performances, and working for the Dior fashion house allowed her to develop her wings in this field.
Christian Dior also placed a strong emphasis on theater, dance, and the stage , which was evident in his designs. In 1947, he designed the costumes for choreographer Roland Petit's production of Treize Danses . He was also a regular guest at Parisian art balls, where fashion and theater converged on a single stage.
The designer also created the legendary "Cygne Noir" evening gown, inspired by the character of Odile from the ballet Swan Lake. The influence of ballet is also evident in his groundbreaking New Look collection, where fitted silhouettes and flared skirts, often in tulle, were the core of the designs.

The arrival of minimalist ballerinas in the Dior collection also coincides with a significant event in Paris. Until the end of September, the Galerie Dior hosts a unique exhibition devoted to dance, seen through the lens of Dior's designs. "Dior and Dance: The Elegance of Movement " is a collection of nearly 150 models, sketches, photographs, and archival materials inspired by contemporary ballet.
In the room dedicated to ballet costumes, you can see costumes designed by Christian Dior for the ballet Treize Danses, but also those created by Maria Grazia Chiuri for the performance Chapter 3: The Brutal Journey of the Hearth (2019).
The unique ballet flats from the 2025/2026 ready-to-wear collection are a continuation of the master's great passion, underlining that his legacy continues to influence contemporary fashion.
