Kacper Majchrzak opened the medal haul for our team at the twelfth edition of the World Games, taking place this year in Chengdu. The Polish swimmer impressively won the coveted gold medal and broke the world record.
Poznań native Kacper Majchrzak won his most precious metal medal in the 100-meter race, but in a water rescue. Majchrzak fished the dummy out of the water at lightning speed and then reached the wall with it, finishing the race in a sensational time of 57.64 seconds . No one before him had achieved such a fast result in this event.
The 32-year-old's lightning-fast finish is particularly noteworthy, as he was in third place halfway through the competition.
This is the greatest success of Majchrzak's career, having defended the Polish swimming colors at the London and Rio de Janeiro Olympics. His achievements include a bronze medal at the European Championships and silver medals at the Summer Universiade in Taiwan.
World Games 2025The World Games is a prestigious international event featuring representatives from various non-Olympic disciplines.
