Kith and Adidas are joining forces. The new sneakers exude luxury and classic style, and can be paired with a suit.

Fans of classic black can rock this fall! Adidas and Kith are teaming up again, this time to revive the "Black Tie" Superstar. Five luxurious versions are on the way, each bearing the "Made in Germany" label.
When Kith founder Ronnie Fieg first collaborated with A didas in 2008, he unveiled the Black Tie — sneakers you'd be happy to wear with a suit.
At that time, it was his first collaboration with a German brand, and he was still working for the retailer David Z.
Now, almost 17 years after its release, Fieg pays tribute to the collaboration of years past and releases the Superstar “Black Tie 2.0” .
"17 years and many partnerships with Adidas later, I felt it was the right time to bring back this concept—this time through the lens of who I am today. Together with the brand, I created the Black Tie 2.0 in Germany, featuring the kind of leather you'd expect from dress shoes, with waxed laces and subtle accents," Kith wrote on Instagram.

Adidas introduced the Superstar in the late 1960s as the first low-profile sneaker with an all-leather upper and a distinctive rubber shell toe . However, it wasn't sports that gave them iconic status, but rather… the streets. In the 1980s, the trio Run DMC turned the Superstar into a symbol of rebellion and style—wearing them laceless, with the tongue hanging outward, and their anthem, "My Adidas," formally launched Adidas's love affair with hip-hop.

In 2025, we'll see a resurgence in the love for simple, classic silhouettes – the Adidas Superstar fits this trend perfectly. The increased interest in the model is visible in searches, thanks in part to pop culture stars like Stray Kids and Jennie from BLACKPINK .
It is therefore no wonder that the brand, wanting to repeat the success of the Samba model, has now reached for the legendary Superstar .
Kith x Adidas "Black Tie 2.0"The " Black Tie 2.0" is a tribute to minimalist restraint. The five variants , of course, are available in black . Each one stands out for its high-quality craftsmanship. According to Kith x adidas's announcement, the "Black Tie 2.0" will boast a " Made in Germany " label.

Each model is a different interpretation of black : from classic, smooth leather to crocodile embossing, gold-plated details, white accents or "sauté" versions.

The collection will premiere at Kith's Fall/Winter 2025 "Institution" show on August 17th, and promises to be one of the hottest moments of the fashion calendar.
Price? That's a secret for now.
