June 20 - an additional day off, but not for everyone. The authorities have made a decision

This year Corpus Christi falls on June 19 and is traditionally celebrated on Thursday. As Radio Eska explains, not everyone will have to take a vacation on Friday to take advantage of the long weekend. In some cities and municipalities, June 20 will be a day off for public administration employees.

The radio station estimates that the following people will benefit from the extra day off:

• employees of the Lidzbark Warmiński Commune Office in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship - will have to work it off on Saturday, August 23;
• employees of the City Hall in Łódź - employees can take June 20 off for All Saints' Day falling on Saturday (November 1, 2025);
• officials from the Watkowice commune (Łódź province) - day off in exchange for the May 3rd Constitution Day.

It is worth adding that not only civil servants may be entitled to an additional day off on June 20. An employee employed under an employment contract is entitled to receive a day off for a holiday falling on a Saturday. Note - the condition is the annual settlement period in the company.
