Antalya Airport in Turkey has broken its all-time record for the number of passengers handled in a single day, Turkish Transport and Infrastructure Minister Abdulkadir Uraloglu announced.
Antalya Airport served over 230,000 passengers on Saturday, Minister Uraloglu said on Sunday, as quoted by Anadolu Agency. "We served 230,002 passengers in a single day. Our tourist capital, Antalya, continues to break records thanks to its strong transport infrastructure," added the Minister of Transport and Infrastructure.
According to data from the Turkish Statistical Institute (TUIK) released earlier in August, the number of visitors to Turkey in the first half of 2025 increased by 1.7%, exceeding 25.53 million. Tourists also spent a record $25.78 billion during this period, representing a 7.6% increase compared to the same period last year.
