The Spirit of Pol'and'Rock Through the Lens. Roman Budzowski's Exhibition

On Wednesday, August 6th, at 5 p.m., the Stargard Library will host the opening of Roman Budzowski's photography exhibition, titled "The Spirit of Pol'and'Rock." The opening will feature a performance by Piotr Korzeniowski, a young guitarist, vocalist, and songwriter, who will present his own compositions.

Roman Budzowski is primarily known as a computer game creator. However, photography has long been his greatest passion. His work has won numerous awards in prestigious national and international competitions. He has had numerous exhibitions, both solo and group, including "Stargard is Not Manhattan," "Cukrownia Kluczewo," "Clad in Nothing," "Secrets," "Soni Spatium," "Inspiring Mr. H.", and "Ordinary-Extraordinary." In 2025, he was nominated for the title of Artist of the Year of the City of Stargard.

The opening reception will also feature several additional photographs not included in the main exhibition. The artist will explain the behind-the-scenes of their creation and share numerous anecdotes from festival life with guests.

"We invite you to an exhibition that, through photography, will attempt to capture the intangible: the atmosphere, energy, emotions, and transformations of the Pol'and'Rock Festival," the organizers invite. "The presented photos, carefully selected from several thousand frames taken during the six editions of the festival, show not only its liveliness but also the evolution it has undergone over the past seven years. This is a story about people—participants who co-create the unique spirit of Pol'and'Rock. The shots from Kostrzyn nad Odrą and Broczyno Airport near Czaplinek paint a picture of a community that meets annually to celebrate freedom, love, music, and togetherness. Will there be a place for the people of Stargard in this story? The exhibition will be on display until the end of August."
