We treat 300,000 patients for PLN 11 billion
In Poland, there are two primary channels for patient access to reimbursed drugs . The first is through pharmacies, with which most patients associate reimbursement. "In 2024, approximately 23.5 million patients were treated there, at a cost of PLN 14 billion. If we calculate this, the average cost per patient is approximately PLN 600," Mateusz Oczkowski, deputy director of the Department of Drug Policy and Pharmacy at the Ministry of Health, points out in the "Rzecz o Zdrowiu" podcast.
