The Kingdom of Genius and Fantasy in Oborniki Śląskie

On Thursday, July 24th, from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM, in the conference room of the Astra Cinema in Oborniki Śląskie (Dworcowa Street 43), a meeting with Krzysztof Krupa, a coach, author, and renowned chess promoter, will be held. The event is part of the Black & White Challenge! project, which aims to integrate the local community around the royal game.

The project is intergenerational, although its primary target audience is young people. Workshop participants will have the opportunity to analyze chess problems together and listen to inspiring stories related to the coach's life and the world of chess.

In the coming weeks, tailoring workshops led by Khrystyna Loik are also planned. Students will learn the basics of sewing and create chess-inspired costume elements, including crowns and brooches, which will be presented during the September finale.

The project will culminate in the "Black vs. White - Challenge" Intergenerational Chess Tournament , scheduled for Sunday, September 7. In addition to the chess competition, the event program will also include accompanying attractions such as culinary workshops (pizza baking), face painting, and the opportunity to take photos with live chess pieces.
