On Jasne Błonia on the occasion of Dignity Day. Colorfully, openly, together...

The Polish Association for People with Intellectual Disabilities, Szczecin Branch, invited everyone to Jasne Błonia for a joyful, eventful festival. It was on the occasion of the Day of Dignity of People with Intellectual Disabilities, which falls on May 5. The city's residents were happy to join in the celebration.
– We are here because May 5 is the Day of Dignity of People with Intellectual Disabilities – said Katarzyna Michno, chairwoman of the Board of the PSONI Circle in Szczecin, who we met at the festival. – This is a very important holiday for our friends with intellectual disabilities, for their families, for ourselves, who care for these people to have a wonderful, normal, good start in life and later a decent life, like each of us.
There were plenty of attractions for the participants, including artistic performances, creative workshops, games and integration activities. As well as various delicacies.
- This is a gift for our friends, a gift for all residents, so that they can come to us, help themselves to sausages, pea soup, prepared by our disabled chefs - listed Katarzyna Michno. - We invite everyone who wants to test their manual skills to try different classes. We have our teachers, educators, instructors, therapists here - all those who can show the abilities of each person. Everyone can join, talk, try.
The event was actively attended by the wards and employees of the facilities organized by PSONI Branch in Szczecin: the Vocational Activity Center, Occupational Therapy Workshops, the Rehabilitation-Educational-Upbringing Center, the Day Care Facility for the Disabled, the Social Support Center, as well as assisted living facilities.
After the meeting at Jasne Błonia, the organization invited everyone to a concert of its Gamelan percussion orchestra – at the Church of the Holy Family in Szczecin. ©℗
