Moscow: Cash-only payments as Kremlin protects its parade

There were queues in front of the ATMs. Some people came running straight from the shops where they couldn’t pay for their purchases – Oksana, who lives near Moscow, describes life during the “May Day”.

But an advert appeared in the window of one of the shops: "No internet, nothing works". In addition, some of the ATMs also stopped working.
