At least four people have been killed in a Russian drone attack on Ukrainian cities, local authorities say. Overnight from Friday to Saturday, drones and other attacks were carried out in cities including Lutsk and Lviv, located about 80 km from the Polish border. Russians also struck Kharkiv, Zaporizhia, and Chernivtsi.

My sincerest condolences to the family and friends," the official said, as quoted by the Unian news agency.

According to him, four more people were seriously injured and doctors are fighting for their lives.

Also on Saturday, Ivan Fedorov, head of the military administration of the Zaporizhzhia region in southeastern Ukraine, reported that Russian forces had shelled 16 towns 566 times over the past 24 hours, resulting in the deaths of two people : a 71-year-old woman and a 58-year-old man. Among other weapons, 394 drones were used in the attacks.

Kharkiv, in the northeast, was attacked overnight by two guided bombs and eight drones. One of them hit a critical infrastructure facility. The roof of a non-residential building also caught fire and dozens of cars were damaged," wrote Lviv Mayor Andriy Sadovyi on Telegram.

Russian forces also attacked Lutsk in the Volyn Oblast in western Poland using missiles and drones. A residential building was destroyed, several other houses were damaged, and a car caught fire, according to the city's mayor, Ihor Polishchuk.
