Małgorzata Kubiszyn is the Polish vice-champion

This was the second competition in Wągrowiec, which has once again become a national center for sports activities. This was all thanks to the Polish Open Individual and Relay Nordic Walking Championships over 15 km, which were once again held at Lake Durowskie. Several hundred participants from across Poland participated in the event – from athletes competing in sports categories to families taking part in a recreational rally.
The competition was part of the International Nordic Walking Series, organized by the Polish Nordic Walking Association. It was co-organized by the Sports and Recreation Center in Wągrowiec and the city of Wągrowiec. Competitors competed in individual categories over a distance of 15 km (6 loops of 2.5 km), in three-person relay teams (3x5 km), and – this time without a timer – in a family recreational rally. The route led through the picturesque landscape around Lake Durowskie and the forests adjacent to the Sports and Recreation Center.
Terrible weatherM. Kubiszyn once again delivered an outstanding performance. The competition was held in extremely challenging weather conditions – pouring rain and a slippery, muddy course demanded exceptional concentration and endurance from the participants. Despite this, the Spring Horyniec-Zdrój athlete put in an outstanding performance, winning the silver medal. This was her second success this season – she previously placed third at the Polish 10km Championships in Gorzów Wielkopolski. Her determination and consistency are yielding further results, and her recent performance in Wągrowiec confirms that she remains among the country's elite Nordic walking athletes.
Others are triumphing tooOther competitors from the Spring Club in Horyniec-Zdrój are not outdone. They showed their class, for example, during the Podkarpacie Grand Prix, organized by the Kolbuszowski Nordic Walking Club. Representatives of the Horyniec "Spring" Club returned from the competition with several medals, all in precious metal. Taking the podium in their age categories were: Wiesława Kubiszyn (1st place), Tadeusz Kubiszyn (1st place), Piotr Gudz-Kiciński (1st place), Janina Husiatyńska (2nd place), Iwona Zapalska-Czarny (2nd place), and Irena Rykała (3rd place).
