The District Bread Festival combines tradition, folk culture, and good fun, attracting numerous participants. This year was no exception. The celebrations began with a special Mass at the Sanctuary of the Holy Sepulcher, celebrated by Father Prelate Tadeusz Gramatyka, during which the blessing of bread prepared by the Przeworsk County Women's Associations took place. The rest of the bread festival took place at the Pastewnik Inn, where participants marched under the leadership of the Wind Orchestra of the Przeworsk Community Cultural Center. Here, the Pigan Rural Women's Association in the Sieniawa commune performed on stage. A bread-sharing ceremony also took place, symbolizing the daily toil of a farmer, community, and abundance.
Przeworsk Starost Dariusz Łapa received the blessed loaf from Zofia Kalamarz-Paluch, Chairwoman of the Przeworsk County Council. Also receiving loaves were Father Prelate Tadeusz Gramatyka, pastor of the Holy Spirit Parish in Przeworsk; Father Erwin Ceklarz, guardian of the Bernardine Monastery in Przeworsk; Member of Parliament Bartosz Romowicz; Chairwoman of the Przeworsk County Council Katarzyna Balawender; Mayor of Przemyśl Wojciech Bakun; and Mayor of the Town and Commune of Sieniawa Witold Mrozek. The loaf was also divided into smaller pieces and distributed among the event participants.
As usual, the event featured musical performances. Performers on stage included "Piganeczki" (The Pigs), "Dębowianie" (The Dębowianie), "Studzienczanki" (The Studzienczanki), "Cantus" from Gorliczyna, the "Sołtysowa" band from Szówsko, the "Redlin" band, and the "Bavivas" group. The stands were filled with baked goods and other delicacies prepared by women's groups from Przeworsk County – a total of 34 participated.
An additional attraction was a display of equipment from the Przeworsk Police Department and local firefighters. Local institutions and organizations, including the Przeworsk hospital, the Sanitary and Epidemiological Station, the Social Insurance Institution (ZUS), beekeepers, and the military, also prepared their own informational events. The event also provided many attendees with an opportunity to tour the interiors of the Lubomirski Palace and the Firefighting Museum, and to view the "Madonna and Child" One-Exhibit Exhibition in the Palace Chapel. The event also included a fundraiser for the treatment of Pola, a Przeworsk resident with osteogenesis imperfecta type III.
