European Union ambassadors will discuss the meeting between US President Donald Trump and Russian leader Vladimir Putin in Alaska on Saturday morning, Sky News reported, citing an EU source. Media reports indicate that the US president and European leaders are scheduled to speak later in the day.
Consultations between EU ambassadors are scheduled to begin at 8:30 a.m. UK time (9:30 a.m. in Poland).
The British station also found that the leaders of European countries and the President of the United States will probably meet virtually on the same day, but at a later time.
Trump-Putin meeting. The US president announced a conversation with ZelenskyAt a joint press conference with Vladimir Putin, the US President assured that he would call Volodymyr Zelensky and NATO representatives to inform them about the results of the talks.

"We made progress today (...) We have a good chance to restore business relations. Our meeting was extremely effective, we reached an excellent agreement on all points, there are only a few that remain. Some are not that important. One is probably the most important, but we have a very good chance of achieving it," said the American leader, emphasizing that he has always had a great relationship with Putin.
As previously announced, Trump is expected to hold talks on Saturday with Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky , British Prime Minister Keir Starmer and other European leaders.
Trump-Putin Meeting: No BreakthroughOn Friday, Trump and Putin met in Anchorage, Alaska, where they spoke for nearly three hours. They then issued statements during a 12-minute press conference, without answering questions from reporters.
Despite the leaders' assurances that the discussions were conducted constructively, they did not announce any specific agreements after the meeting.
