Accident on the A8 motorway in Krzyżanowice – details of the firefighters' intervention!

On Wednesday, around 11 a.m., a Volkswagen passenger car veered off the road and struck a crash barrier on the A8 motorway. The incident occurred near Krzyżanowice.

"There was one person in the vehicle. The Volkswagen driver was out of the vehicle when crews arrived at the scene and was conscious. He had no visible injuries, did not complain of any ailments, and did not require qualified first aid. The car was on its wheels, in the right lane towards Wrocław, with the front end positioned diagonally to the road, " said Dariusz Zajączkowski, press officer for the State Fire Service Headquarters in Trzebnica.

The spokesman added that on the road, near the damaged vehicle, there was a stain of operating fluids with an area of ​​approximately 2 square meters, which increased in size in line with the slope of the asphalt road surface.

Firefighters secured the scene, disconnected the battery, and closed the LPG system shutoff valve in the damaged vehicle. They contained the spilled liquids using sorbent. The operation, involving three crews, lasted less than an hour.
